Welcome to Grange Personal Training
A private, family-owned studio on Adelaide's western beaches. For 13 years we've helped, beginners, returners and busy professionals get strong, mobile and capable, plus stay that way, through one-on-one coaching built around real life.
No crowds. No queuing for equipment. Just you, your coach, and a program built for your body and your week.

Trainer Background & Life Experience
Coach Bri - Where I started
I wasn't a sporty kid. I was overweight, couldn't run the length of my street, and grew up on whatever food was quick and cheap. When you tell me you're starting from scratch, I know exactly what that means.
Competitive Sports and Training
At 15 I joined a full-contact kickboxing club. The weight came off and I learned what strength, mobility and conditioning actually felt like. I went on to fight professionally under WKA rules and box as an amateur. What stuck wasn't getting in the ring, it was the camps: 8–12 weeks of nutrition, skill, strength and discipline. That's still how I coach.
Desk life
Then a decade at a desk in London and Liverpool, managing a team across 16 countries, constant travel, and up to three hours a day commuting. I know what training feels like when you're shattered, jet-lagged and time-poor.
Why a Studio, not a Gym
After qualifying as a PT, kettlebells, TRX and boxing coach and started on the floor of a commercial gym in the western suburbs, which taught me exactly how I didn't want to coach. So I built the opposite: calm, private, never crowded. No circling for a carpark, no waiting on gear, no lock-in contracts. It's family-owned and sits right beside our home. You get the whole studio and the coach for your session.
Injuries and Rehabilitation
I've got the usual tally, a broken foot that became a hip problem I had to rebuild years later, plus the standard breaks and knocks. Rehabbing my own body is why I train from the ground up, feet first, working with the body's fascial lines. We use techniques including balance boards/pipes, Swissball and Water filled hand weights to help fire up the nervous system and improve proprioception.
My Routine
In my late 40s: strength and mobility twice a week, cardio twice, two 30-minute walks a day, 80/20 wholefoods, next to no alcohol, daily breathwork and the odd cold plunge. Bouldering and Thai boxing for fun. Not perfection, just staying capable and training for longevity.
Qualifications: MSc, BA (Hons), Cert III & IV in Fitness, Group Trainer, Boxing Coach (Boxing SA), TRX, Precision Nutrition Coach, HKC/Iron Edge Kettlebells, SSL Footwork & Ballwork, First Aid & CPR.

How We Train Clients
We don't train muscles in isolation.
Your body works as connected chains from the ground up, so we start at your feet, and how you connect to the floor. From there we build strength, power and resilience up through the whole system, nervous system included, so everything works together the way it's meant to.
The toolkit is deliberate and evidence-led — fascial-chain work (Anatomy Trains) using various tools including swissball, kettlebells, suspension training, and sustainable power and reactive work. Every program is built to make you stronger and more capable without wrecking your joints. Joint-friendly, ground-up, and built to last.
Where something falls outside our expertise, a niggle that needs a physio, a condition that needs a GP, I'll tell you and point you in the right direction.

Who We Work with
Most clients fall into one of three camps, and plenty sit across more than one:
-
Fat loss and body composition — getting leaner sustainably, without crash diets or punishing yourself into the ground.
-
Strength and performance — building real, usable strength and power that carries into sport and everyday life.
-
Rehab and mobility-informed training — coming back from injury, undoing years of desk-bound stiffness, and training for longevity.

The Studio & Membership
We keep it small on purpose — a maximum of 30 members and, in almost every session, just you and Bri in the studio. The price of a session includes the whole studio and the coach for that time, so you're never waiting on equipment or working out in a crowd.
It's private, focused, and genuinely personal. The way coaching should be.
